November in Review and What to Expect in December

from Sam Sarver
Hello everyone, a happy December to all those who celebrate this Gregorian style calendar month. We had a lovely November, with The Written & The Lost back in full gear and the beginnings of recording Records of the Unknown season 3. We also just did our November Atomic Chat which featured Jordy! I now know how to make that a Twitch VOD (Video On Demand), so if you missed it, you can still listen to it, and we should have more ways to listen to them going forward as well!

But it’s December now and the holiday season is in full swing attacking scheduling everywhere! We decided to cool off for the holidays and take it slow, so be on the lookout for some The Written & The Lost this month. As normal, we won’t release on the first Monday; however, we also won’t be releasing on the 29th as a small holiday break for Good Ol’ Jacob, our editor, but there will still be an Atomic Chat on the 29th (that’s Sam’s Birthday!), though he’s keeping what’s happening on the show hush-hush. But hey! It’ll be fun.

Speaking of Sam, he is set to perform on a Die Hard inspired Christmas charity stream over on the DnDwithDee Twitch channel, playing D&D 5e, on December 19th. This isn’t officially announced yet, so if you’re reading this, you’re in on the secret (hope you like Kurt Russell), as well as in on the fact that schedules could always change before or even after the stream is officially announced.

Well, that’s about that. Thank you all for being here! We hope that you’ve been enjoying the shows. Next month we should have some excitement to share. We wish you all a wonderful holiday season. We hope you can find some time to be with family and/or loved ones. And most of all, we hope you all have, a grand, spectacular, Atomic Time this December!

Cozy Cast Corner: Christmas Movies, Music, and Moods

from Olivia Sarver
During the holiday season, Christmas movies and music are a comforting tradition. Something warm and familiar when outside is cold and dark. It is a joy for me to listen to dear friends wax poetic for their favorites: films like Rankin/Bass Rudolph or The Year Without a Santa Claus, A Christmas Story, Home Alone, The Hogfather, and - though often debated - Die Hard and Gremlins; music like Michael Bublé's holiday albums, Enya, Gregorian chants, and assorted classics like Rocking Around the Christmas Tree and I'll be Home for Christmas. Whether we first encountered our favorites as children or later as adults, these so often remind us of a feeling of safety, of contentment, and we are drawn to them again and again because of this.

Here is my hope and wish for you this holiday season: may you have pockets of peace in the chaos, may traditions new and old bring you laughter and security, and may light shine in your days through all the shadows of winter.
Thanks for supporting us in any way you can.
We love the community that we are seeing grow, and we hope to see more and more of you!

All our love to you and yours this holiday season,
The Atomic Broadcasting crew
