Atomic Broadcasting Network

Atomic Broadcasting is a podcast network, originating in Springfield, Missouri, focused around telling stories. Few things have precise beginnings. Atomic Broadcasting is not among those few. Sometime in 2019, inspired by a TTRPG (table-top roleplaying game) he had played in college with friends, Sam Sarver started writing a script and recording audio for a “radio drama” podcast with a handful of friends: Abby, Jacob, Jordy, Michael Jenkins, Michael Petete, and Olivia. This project was never completed.

Again: they came together to tell a story, and again, each attempt coming closer to completion and bringing in new voices, like Steven “Sven” Nerness. While Sam, Abby, and Michael Jenkins continued work on one of these scripts, Jordy began to prepare what would become the first show to release from Atomic Broadcasting, which, instead of a script, would tell its story through playing a TTRPG together, much as these friends first began.

In January of 2023, Abby, Jacob, Jordy, Michael Jenkins, Michael Petete, Sam, and Sven began recording a Pathfinder 2nd Edition Actual Play podcast: The Written & The Lost. The Written & The Lost began releasing on podcast platforms in May of 2023. Since then, Atomic Broadcasting has produced and released multiple shows, including our first completed scripted audio drama in October of 2025: House on Valley Lane.

Ultimately, podcasts enabled the return of radio in the age of the internet. Atomic Broadcasting, as many before us have done, returns stories of magic, suspense, and comedy to the microphone. So tune in! And have an Atomic Time!

Besides editing, Michael has dabbled in soundtrack composition, his first project, the original soundtrack to Tales of the Shadows.

Sven

Voice Actor, Castmember, Player

I love TTRPGs. There are few things I find more enjoyable than building a world and a story within that world where me and my friends can just have fun. Away from the table you can find me reading, singing, playing video games, or writing.
